MLP Shooting Stars

Hill side over looking Ponyville.


It was a beautiful night for Stargazing. Just one problem. Not a whole lot of stars for gazing. At least not the type Twilight Sparkle and Garble had been hoping to see. "I thought you said there would be Shooting Stars tonight?" Twilight asked Garble as they sat on a hillside. Garble fumbled through some papers he brought. He had wanted to impress Twilight by using star charts and had believed had the schedule for a meteor shower that was suppose to happen tonight. But so far no shooting stars. "I don't get it!" Gripped Garble. "I did everything Boss Lady Luna....I..I Mean Princess Luna." Garble caught himself in mid sentence. "Told me to do, And it said Shooting stars would be TONIGHT!"

Twilight looked at the star charts herself. Everything did seem to be in order. But then she saw what was wrong. "Oh boy." She said sadly. "You had the Right idea Garble. But you sort of read the signs backwards. The Meteor shower isn't till the first of Next month." "ARRRRRRRRRGGGGG!" Roared a frustrated Garble. The Dragon Teen stormed off then began banging his head against a tree. Twilight looked at her date sadly. She truly knew Poor Garble was only trying to show her a good time. "Oh don't be upset Garble. It's still a nice night. We could still..." "Hold it!" Garble stand stopping himself in mid bang and pointing his finger to the sky. It was Garble's idea finger. "Oh Boy." Twilight said rolling her eyes. "What's thought of this time?" "Follow me Twi." Garble grinned. "I got an idea!"

Garble led Twilight to a massive boulder in the woods. Using his Dragon Element of Justice to summon up some excess Super Strength, Garble lifted the enormous out of the ground. Flew up into the air. Twilight flew up after him. "Just what are you up to?" She asked more then a little concerned. "You'll see!" Said Garble excitedly. With all his might, Garble threw the boulder straight into the sky. "Now we gotta time this Juuuuuuust Right!" He told Twilight. "1....2....." By now the boulder as but a dot. "3! FIRE!" Garble shot a fire blast and Twilight shot a magic blast. Both respective shot melded and shot toward the distance.

Suddenly... KABOOOM

The entire sky was a was shower of makeshift shooting stars. It was a beautiful sight. Twilight and Garble landed on the ground. "Now see!" Garble grinned. "Didn't I say they're be stars?" Twilight grinned back at him. "Yes you did." As they watched they own shooting stars fill the sky, Twilight wrapped her wing around  Garble's waist affectionately. Garble then wrapped his wing around her.
